Coachella 2022

Coachella is an iconic festival that has been popular since the end of the 90s. They started out as a small festival and have continued on these many years to have many of the world's iconic performances by many legendary acts. Coachella has become a household name and has many A-list acts, with up and coming acts as well.

We attended the first ever Coachella post pandemic. It was one of the first festivals to be held post pandemic and had reduced capacity as well as precautionary measures around the grounds. Hand sanitizer was plenty to be found as well as plenty of handwashing stations. For this year, the headliners were Harry Styles, Billie Elilish, and a last minute change from Kanye West to the Weeknd with Swedish House Mafia. There were surprise guests for each performer, which added a nice touch of magic to each show.

Harry Styles was brilliant as he performed many classic songs as well premiered his new songs from his new album. He brought out surprise guest Lizzo, and sang One direction songs. He ended his show with fireworks and was truly a great act. Billie Eilish performed night 2 and sang her songs from all her albums, but mostly her darker original songs. Young girls were screaming everywhere, and one could tell by her performance that she is an icon. She brought our Paramore, to sing the classic hit Misery business, and finished off strong. The Weekend and Swedish House Mafia were night 3 and had great effects as well as great music. Altough we were unable to see the whole set, as some of our equipment was stolen, the moments we did see were quite amazing.
